Loughborough Town Swimming Club aims to be recognised in Leicestershire as a club which helps athletes achieve their personal goals in competitive swimming by improving their swimming skills and fitness and by providing regular competition opportunities at all levels.
To achieve this we will ensure all athletes have personal goals within a structured programme, led by qualified coaches and teachers.
Daily training sessions are available to improve the swimmers' stroke and stamina, in preparation for competition.
The club has the largest Masters Squad in the County. Masters swimmers are aged 19 yrs+ and train alongside the swimmers in Group 1, attending several Masters meets throughout the year.
The club has now been established for over 100 years and is affiliated to the ASA, competing in Galas and League fixtures throughout the region, as well as County, District, and National Age Groups along with regular Masters meets.
We will strive to provide the best environment available for our members for both training and competition, by establishing and maintaining links and partnerships with all facility providers and local authorities.
We pride ourselves in being a friendly, family club with a regular programme of social events and are accessible to everyone regardless of ethnic origin or disability.
Free trials can be arranged at most sessions by contacting Eddie Bakewell on 01509 215594.
We are a SWIM 21 accredited club.
The club has an ASA qualified Head Coach and many ASA qualified Poolside Helpers and Teachers; the number is increasing through our ongoing training programme.
The club operates the full ASA Child Protection policy for all involved with children in any capacity and all poolside staff have attended a Child Protection Course and been CRB checked.
